Aangan is a new upscale Modern Indian restaurant on College Street.
Lovely space inside.
The 3 owners are from Mumbai and had worked at Adrak on Avenue Road previously.
I tried the Kokum Chicken Tikka, Raw banana kofta (potato and plantain ), rice, naan and Gulab Jamun. I ordered it to go, over the phone.
This is the best chicken tikka I have ever eaten. $32. I am going to say it is worth it.
The chef certainly is layering flavours with subtleties not seen at most Toronto mid-range Indian restos downtown.
I didn’t know about Kokum, a sour fruit.
I’ll be back.
