yeah I’ve even set notifies to the 7:00 and ONLY 7:00 time for friday-sunday and never see it pop up either.
They haven’t been available for a while and Sergio said he’s not sure when he’s gonna make them available again. I sadly had to cancel my res last week because kids so I’m also looking for a new res.
they are pretty sporadic. It’s not consistently every weekend which is the real issue. Now that they have a packed house inside and out, they need all the space and manpower to provide for alacarte. If you see the kitchen you’ll see what I mean. Doing the omakase draws away 4-5 staff to serve roughly 4-7 people.
Hope last week may change things though. He did do the omakase for LA times foodbowl - he shut down the restaurant last Friday and Saturday. Did two turns each night of 24 people each turn. I helped prep the initial plates on the caviar dish on the first turn to visualize the plating/quenelle so I was sitting there watching the whole first turn Friday (while sipping on a lot off wine off their massive wine list). It was a bit slower than they wanted as they allocated 2.5 hours to it and due to late (VERY) arrivals, it ended up going past 2.5 hours, but they learned super quick as the other 3 were pretty seamless. I ate during the second turn on Friday and it was 11 courses in under 2 hours.
Hopefully how smooth the process went would have him expand a bit

Nice! I saw they were hiring a bunch on insta. Would love to try the menu eventually but I’m not opposed to going back every two weeks for a la carte like we have been.
We had friends in town who wanted to do a badass dinner and they were between Kato / Anajak / Melisse and even though we’ve done Kato a few months ago we’re opting to go back with them.
I would consider reaching out to Sergio direct to see if you can get on a list to notify you when omakase becomes available.
I went during the pandemic for 2021. Made my reservation in late Feb/early March for June by contacting Chef via DM on IG. He was regularly offering omakase then. Had an amazing dining experience…like a house party with awesome food, music and friends.
