two mediocre courts (with nets that are closer to tennis height) can be found if you Google map Montecito heights pickleball courts
Oh I’ve played there once. Was hoping you reveal a better place lol. Agreeed don’t like the layout

This wildly veering off topic but I don’t get the pickle ball craze

padel is the real game…
Jai alai…
Where can I play that?!?!
Sorry to disrupt.
Elf for delivery. Pretty darn good. My second favorite Echo Park restaurant after Tsubaki.
East Hollywood
Gotta take up skiing specifically so you can hit it on the way to Mammoth
Mammoth is wonderful in summer as well - Some great hiking to be found in that whole area!
Agreed. I believe John Muir thought Ediza Lake,Ediza Lake, hiking trail near Mammoth Lakes, California, was the most beautiful lake in the Sierras.
So many lakes scattered in that wilderness, often with nary a human at its shores for most of the summer. Ethereally idyllic…
Ediza is hard to get a backpacking permit for. I love the Ritter Range and the Minarets.
This is a little further south, but typical of the High Sierra.
ftc meetup in the sierras?!!
pickles are food
Roasted Duck by Pa Ord lives up to the hype. It was magnificent. (And there was parking…)
The “#1 Special” costs $25 and comes with a generous heap of delicious (de-boned!) duck, gai lan, and your choice of rice or Jade noodles (definitely, absolutely get the noodles to sop up that duck juice), and an extra mini-bowl of that glorious duck au jus… Huge bites!!!
Supreme solo work lunch trophy: Achieved.
Jaraguá. Salvadoran. On Beverly. We tried it due to some Salvadoran-born Redditors saying it was the best Salvadoran food in LA.
Warrior: Best Salvadoran food I’ve ever had? Nah, I wouldn’t say that. Pretty lackluster to be honest. Inherently limited by the ingredients. The ceiling for a dish with factory bagged shredded mozzarella is pretty low. Good tamale though.
Peony: It was cooked properly. The tamale was pretty delicate.
