Thank you all for saying something. I’m not gonna lie, that playing the victim shit pissed me off.

New contender for best square slice in socal.
Truly pizza. I liked this more than my last quarter sheets visit. Which was number one prior for me.
Miss Il Romanista…
Agreed
We have to put a limit on distance LOL. Dana Point? For me that’s a different hemisphere;-)
(That pie looks damn good)
Yeah oc and sd are starting to come up in pizza department.
I’m not down that far south very often but I’m gonna have to stop by there again soon!
Well, to be fair, he did say SoCal. ![]()
And I agree, that looks f*cking delicious.
I need to go back and try their pizza convention world championship winner
Anyone tried prime pizzas sandwiches?
Sugo pizz in Costa Mesa. A Romanish alla palla concept using pinsa type dough for a crackery outside with a nice chew on the inside.
Flavors and quality of topping were very good, tomato sauce had a very nice deep flavor. Not a must visit but if you’re in the area it’s definitely worth a stop if you want just one slice of pizza.
I miss il romanista @ilromanista
Stopped for a quick slice from Hot Tongue last week and thought it was really good! Got a simple Marg but will return for further investigation on the strength of it. Super thin, surprisingly crispy crust and great sauce.
Been eyeing their squares and bar pies not there during the week though for bar pies unfortunately
Haven’t had dtown since Covid. The chef has won a couple world championships at the pizza expo in Vegas. Cheese tasted like the best rendition of a Pizza Hut cheese pan pizza mixed with their breadsticks bursting with nostalgia. The not haole is great but I am a huge sucker for pineapple on pizza. Next time I’ll ask them to add tomato sauce to the pie. Best thing is you can split a regular 4 pan pie in half giving a single diner a good variety.
His square pies are pretty damn perfect, great light fluffy center with crisp carmelized outside and perfectly burnt cheese skirt. Haven’t had quarter sheets in about 1.5 years and maybe this is recency bias but I might prefer dtown over qsp squares at this moment.
Apollonias square or round? I haven’t had Apollonias in about 2 years and I don’t think I’ve ever had a round.
What say ye fellow ftcers?
