How about Century City?
Look at you. Yay. I work 5 minutes away.

What the hell? Are these seasonal specials?

I was getting my hair done recently and a woman in the chair next to me was going on about Ruen Pair, insisting it was incomparable. Agree?

Seems really fun @attran99. The pasta making classes too!

The crispy shrimp is a special until the end of February. The ramen is a limited-time test special, only 10 bowls are served a day, not sure how long it’ll be on the menu.

I thought the ramen would be gimmicky, but I really enjoyed it. The broth has a great brininess and just the right amount of fat. The noodles were thick, chewy and curly the way i like it and the wontons were filled with chunks of shrimp and lobster claw meat.

I wouldn’t go that far, they do everything solidly but aren’t heads and shoulders over everybody else. However, i don’t know any other place making that turnip egg dish.

Good pics @Chowseeker1999. I like that you do storefronts when you can. It’s a helpful visual.

We’ll try Little Jewel’s Shrimp Po’ Boy and possibly the Jambalaya if we’re in the area. But overall doesn’t seem destination worthy. Maybe next time we’re at Howlin’ Ray’s. I still want to try the milder Country Fried Chicken you suggested .

Great news about HP Pho Ga Bac Ninh having free-range poultry. Definitely a plus. Glad you found it yummy too. I hope others jump on that bandwagon.

Good reporting!

That was f-ing hilarious.

How about places with pork and olive? And clams in spicy mild mint sauce?

I think it was a joke? Anyway, made me laugh.

I don’t know about the pork and olives but i like the clams at newport seafood.

Love Cafe Angelino.

Cute snoopy cupcakes and cute kid.

Chinese Friends
Awww… Favorite Chinese restaurant of my favorite fictional homicide detective, Harry Bosch. I thinks it’s a cop hangout, being downtown and all.

Arbequina olive oil is a must, so I’ve been told.

The dinner specials seem to get passed over by most at Gjusta.
I didn’t know they served entree type dinners.
