Those appear to be page numbers, not prices.
Ha.
We’ve tried pretty much all the waters. They really are quite diverse–e.g., Vichy Catalan is intensely salty. My favorite has been Three Bays, which has an unusually rich mouthfeel for some reason.
I for one am interested in the difference between effervescent and sparkling
I don’t believe there’s any generally-accepted distinction, they both mean fizzy. Water brands or nerds may pretend otherwise, e.g. natural vs. carbonated, or mild vs. strong fizziness (e.g.Egeria vs. Topo Chico).
According to this, it’s b/c of the high magnesium content:
“The high magnesium content gives the water a naturally smooth, creamy mouthfeel, while calcium adds subtle structure and a gentle ‘grip’ on the palate.”
… and potentially reduces the risk for cardiac arrhythmias also!
Makes me want to try cooking the super old fashioned ‘Vichy carrots’ Which are carrots cooked in the Vichy water with butter and sugar until it forms a glaze. No need to add salt to the water I guess! lol
