Bentos went out this morning and from what I could tell they were gone in under 2 minutes. That really felt faster than some of the releases they’ve had earlier this year prepandemic and certainly quicker than their August relaunch. Hope everyone was speedy enough!
They’re also filling back orders from people that got cancelled so there’s that.
And don’t forget about those assholes who order 12 at a time.

The Hayato bento box lived up to all of the accolades. Every individual item was delicious. I would happily pick up one of these bento boxes every weekend. What a real treat.
I mean while we were down in LA might as well pick up some Majordomo.
The fried chicken was outstanding. Super juicy and flavorful. We opted for the original and not the hot. Beautiful tomato and stone fruit salad. Everything was well labeled and very easy pick up.

Yes, that was really delicious. Loved the snow crab claw and tofu, and even the vegetables shine. Every bite really is perfect.
What’s also great is that someone who isn’t particularly familiar w/ the intricacies of Japanese cuisine (e.g., me) can enjoy this and appreciate the incredible skill that went into this (esp since Chef Go includes a list of all the pieces!). Just wonderful.

heirloom apple hand pie
wow that was fantastic. taking my first bite instantly reminded me of mcdonald’s but on a whole nother level. this is like an adult mcdonald’s apple pie. loved the crunchy caramelized bottom that tasted just like outside of a caramelized apple. pro tip, reheat it in the toaster over so that it’s piping hot. @TheCookie, @NYCtoLA, @attran99, @butteredwaffles, @moonboy403, @hanhgry, @foodshutterbug, @chinchi

My daughter is turning 8 on Tuesday. She asked if we are going to LA for dinner on Saturday. She said we should go get a bento box at Hayato and I should order one right away. These damn kids.
