Jacaranda - Hollywood

I’m confused as well! Haha. I’m still trying to figure out how we would do this. Is it a social? Is it a buyout? Is it just wine? Bites? Meals? But in any case, if you go to any establishment that sells wine and you use their glassware and have their staff wash and polish said glassware, then they need to pay for people to do so, you will have to pay corkage, silly. The idea is that nobody is required to buy anything to attend… purchase will be optional, BUT if you byob there’s still a corkage. Does that make sense?

Will you rank these songs?

  1. The Killers - Read My Mind
  2. MCR - Welcome to the Black Parade
  3. Blink-182 - I Miss You

@SarahJacaranda Based on prior experience, I think there would likely be interest in an FTC buyout, but I expect people would want to know the following first:

  1. Would there be a special one-night-only menu or would it be mainly items from the the current menu and/or prior menus? People will be more interested if this is used as a way for chef to experiment, and therefore there are dishes they have not had before and could not get if they came in for regular dinner service.
  2. What would the cost be (even if just a rough estimate at this point)?
  3. How many diners can you accommodate?

The answers to those questions will determine whether there’s enough interest for an FTC buyout. Even if an FTC buyout is not in the cards, I’m sure there’d be interest in something that is less of a commitment.

I absolutely get the economics, former somm here. Waiting for the dust to settle. I’ll likely pass on the buy out idea but if a more accessible/inclusive plan emerges, I’m much more inclined. Cheers!
