W: this is “best restaurant I’ve ever been to” territory. I adore adore adore the food, the environment, everything. Like…this or Pic? level. I am extremely grateful and impressed! This is genius.

I also want to say: the intense, personal effort that is going into all of this, not just the food…I see it.

P: The dishes are incredibly innovative, exciting, and delicious! The steak is the best I’ve ever had. The kitchen and service team are both exceptional. I feel so fortunate to have such a wonderful restaurant near us!

i think you have at least one resto in this territory every week!

don’t mean this as a dis. when ever i say “this is the best dish/resto I have had” the wife rolls her eyes and says “again?”

I do get carried away in moments. “We gotta learn to share these moments in our lives.”

Jacaranda reached a deep place in my heart that only a handful of restaurants have reached. But I am not a trustworthy source of sober objectivity.

In my defense, to my recollection, I’ve made “best restaurant ever” type comments for only three places: Pic, Ryugin, Jacaranda. They are all so different, and it’s hard to compare across different levels of grandeur and decadence. I choose Pic, for now, though they definitely had worse music.

Me too - I get it

“I liked Leopardo better too. It was my favorite restaurant in LA”

It does sound special!

If you’re on the fence about the DineLA menu, you should get off the fence and go. :joy: You’d be hard pressed to find a better value tasting menu at this level of execution. Here are the two unique courses from the DineLA menu. Hanging tender steak and potatoes was one of my favorite courses of the menu. Save some bread for the sauce on the potatoes.

Recommend seeing if you can add on the masa twist from the regular menu, corn cream is a banger.

Mango dessert on both menus was excellent, get it while the Wong Farms mangoes last.

Top 3 favorite LA meals of 2026 (thus far). Only complete miss for me was the first dessert course- carrot cake.

Tried DineLA menu with egg/caviar supplement. We enjoyed every course very much. Grilled and raw veggies, shrimp and squash, and tomato dishes were especially outstanding. Do not think there were flavor bombs, just light acidity, elegant balance, precision, and restraint. Service was quite good as well, and pacing was on point. Overall, very special highly skillfully executed menu, and we are looking to coming back soon.

Is the wine pairing the difference between the two menus? How much were each pairing? Very nice selection with the French wines.

They have two different wine pairings, a California one at $145 when we went and a reserve for $295. They also have NA for $100, and all sake for $250. I got the hybrid for $125 when I went and you can choose if you want wine/beer/sake/NA. Really worthwhile and lets you calibrate how much alcohol you’re consuming. Don’t sleep on the sake which they only have as part of a pairing. Goes well with the style of food.

Hi guys!!! Thank you everyone from here who has come to jacaranda! So many of you!!! It’s been so lovely to meet you guys. For real. I wanna hug you all.

Just letting you know that we’re keeping the $175 six-course menu going. It worked out really well during dine LA - more people were able to try Daniel’s food and our unique take on super fucking fancy fine dining.

While I’d rather have more people eating our twelve course $295 tasting menu since it’s the menu Daniel envisions and a complete album with no filler (much like the platinum ‘OK Computer’ album I have on our dining room shelf), sometimes an album sampler is needed because it’s all people can afford to hear or have time to hear. And then sometimes a taste leads to a need to hear the whole album and it’s like a revelation. Daniel’s food is a revelation. I say this with no humility because if I didn’t think he was making food worthy of saying this about I wouldn’t have dedicated my whole entire life to it.

Thank you everyone who has been so supportive of our little restaurant. Idgaf if this is too transparent and something people will pull Daniel aside to say “your wife shouldnt be posting this” (as if he can control me like it’s the 1950s), but we have no investors - this is just me and him, our life savings, and loans - so this support has been incredible and humbling. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!

Thank you, truly. The past few weeks have been our busiest and we’ve had to close the books at times instead of our doors.

This week our books are light so come in, hang out, and eat your face off.

This is a dish from our six course menu. It’s beef that’s been grilled over charcoals after it’d been sous vide in koji oil. It’s served with the best freaking potatoes you will ever have.

Sarah! You and Daniel are wonderful. The hospitality has me snug, like I’m in the coolest family member’s house, free to express myself. I knew I wanted to revisit asap. Im just trying to get some of my people on board. I know you guys will be around but I’m an impatient fella.

Please keep updating on any new dishes / changes to the tasting menu! We can’t wait to go back but it would be weird to go and eat exactly the same tasting menu, and it would lose its magic.

p.s. do you like the new Interpol album? I love the first song

Omg! From my home home to my restaurant home, you know you always have a place with us. Your twists are waiting for you!!!

I think there’s a bunch of new dishes on the menu right now that weren’t there when you guys came in a month ago, but I know what you mean! Daniel has been changing out dishes in an on-going basis because of the super hot summer we’ve been having which causes produce to have an uncommon lifespan.

Here’s the menu we’ve got going on at the moment for reference. The beef dish is on our short menu but it’s changed even from when you had it on the long menu (so we’d be happy to switch out the proteins for you if you want). Daniel said his duck will be getting phased out soon for a new protein, which is still tbd.

As for the new Interpol album - everyone is freaking out over it that I’m so scared to listen to it. Like, I need to be in the most perfect moment where I can disappear while listening to it. Ive been working non-stop that I haven’t had an opportunity to do that yet but I promised our BOH team that I’d be ready to talk about TMWAT by Wednesday! I’ve debated playing it in its entirety during service.

Looks great, see you soon!

Not sure I’d recommend the Interpol album for your service lol. It’s kind of dark …

I mean… I play “closer” by nine inch nails and “i used to love her but I had to kill her” by GnR during service so it’s not off brand
