January 2024 Rundown

looks a bit too busy for me.

Haha- so true. I was in Norway for the first time in the Fall - brown cheese was everywhere - and not in an enjoyable way. I found it far too sweet.

I enjoyed it, I didn’t mind the sweetness.

I distinctly remember that a friend took me out for my birthday dinner to a place that has pizza. I asked her for a slice of her pizza, and she declined, stating that she wanted to keep some for leftovers for the next day.

We’re not friends anymore (not b/c of that specifically)…

Saimin with wonton and chashu at Gardena Bowl. Bouncy noodles in hot broth were perfect for today’s brisk weather.

That’s what I was confused by… unless those prices are in cents?

Right. Half lobster, 64 cents.

According to an online inflation calculator, a half lobster for $0.64 in 1917 is today worth $15.35 using a cumulative rate of inflation of approx. 2300%.
A steal!

The cost of lobster has increased much faster than the general rate of inflation.
