They are so good. Also there is a location in Anaheim that is pretty close to Disneyland.
Sunnin. It’s been a long time since I’ve been here in person. Deliveries have been a little disappointing. But this food in person, at least on this day, was good. The chicken shwarama was well above par, and the hummus was just right. I don’t know of any better place to have lunch around Westwood.
I saw the video when the launched this and since they are stirfried, I called them Sichuan Saltado. lol!
I feel seen.
Waffle fries are the superior style of fries
Am I the only one who hears the Unforgivable guy in their head every time waffle fries are mentioned
No, no you are not.
Sunnin is good.

Very controversial take on the waffle fries. I would put them middle of the pack. I think most can agree that curly fries are the worst. Haha.
RIP Carl’s Jr Frispo-matic fries from the 1980’s. Truly fast food French fry perfection.
hey let’s not get carried away now ![]()
I don’t think waffle fries are the best fries but they have a high floor for some reason. They’re rarely bad in my experience. A mechanical engineer could explain why the resilient structure prevents drooping.
If Century City is not too far from Westwood for @PeonyWarrior, I would also add Very Thai (I’ve really enjoyed my 2 trips there).
Last 2 lunches at Shamshiri recently were quite pleasing (after a VERY meh lunch there many yrs ago).
The tuna sandwich at Ludivine is also good. I have not tried any of their pastries in my trips there, strangely enough.
I haven’t heard of this place! Will need to check it out. Although the Broxton lot no longer having 2-hr free parking stinks. ![]()
I think I would actually put curly fries above waffle! A poorly done waffle is just too starchy (but I loved the Carl’s Jr ones b/c of all the seasoning).
Those are fighting words seasoned curly fries are the best!
Mima’s. Has become my favorite lunch in DTLA. I like Zankou’s chicken tarna, but Mima’s chicken shawarma is better. Everything is above average.
Does Sandra still have percebes on the menu?
IDK I was hoping for the full menu at the bar but they only gave me the drinks/tapas menu. Everything was very well executed but I was hoping to try the dinner menu. Drinks were very good, but I can get a full dinner at Melisse or Rustic Canyon at the bar so for me I probably won’t go back unless I have dinner reservations
