$275 is the normal tasting menu price now, the collab price is $325.
$275 for normal tasting menu?! If that’s without the A5 wagyu supplement, then I’m glad I went last year when it was $195 with the A5 wagyu included.
Yeah to clarify I mean the regular tasting menu, I wasn’t shocked by 325 for the collabo dinner (I love Bonnies in BK, been twice when I go back to visit my fam in NY) so strongly considering pulling the trigger on this.
I will miss the 195 and even the 225 Kato menu, wonder if there are any changes since the price hike? is the wagyu included?
So with wagyu it’s $320 plus service charge and tax?
Wait Jfc are y’all saying Kato is now $275pp? Because this was my Dec receipt…(don’t tell my parents)
yikes - one and done for me.
i stand corrected - its gone up!
WTF comes in an alcohol-free flight for $85!!??
Im less phased by the price of a non alcoholic pairing. I didn’t regret my 125$ non alc at Oriole which was a bunch of great infusions/juices/shrubs and other mock tail vibes.
their alcohol free drinks are pretty fire. Did our holiday work dinner at Kato and one of our staff got it. Almost wished I got it myself. They put a ton of work into it as they do with their alcohol based selections. They make a few of the non alcoholic drinks and the rest are from wineries that produce non alcoholic wines.
Ryan poured me a glass of the 2021 Navarro Vineyards Gewurztraminer and I immediately went to go buy some. One of the purest expressions of grape juice I have had.
disclaimer - kato is a client of Astrea Caviar
Avenue 26 tacos’ Little Tokyo location.
I have an another reservation coming up and got the Amex GDA email about the collaboration dinner series and was thinking of switching, so I called just now to get details on it. The GM actually answered, she was very friendly btw, clarified that the $325 price for the collaboration includes a pairing/flight (wine or NA if you don’t drink), a potential take away, and part of the proceeds will be donated. Also mentioned a handful of dishes changed/are changing for the January menu, will take a few pictures my upcoming visit.
Nice! Are you doing the collab one or sticking with the regular menu?
I am going to collab dinner 1/28
that must be a very small pairing or a very small food menu considering the price of a normal tasting menu is $275 and wine flight $155.
When booking, the info said 9 courses, so perhaps closer to the scale of the bar menu?
“chasing stars”?
Kato IS expensive, but easily best restaurant I’ve ever been to (in LA?). Only negative was the eel with rice wasn’t as great as all the other outstanding dishes.
for a birthday or special occasion definitely worth it.
