The kaya is not overly sweet. Add a few slices of cold butter to your toast. A thicker white bread with the crusts off would be ideal.
The kaya is a little thin in comparison to the cheaper brand

I really loved the few times I had pandan water at Sapp Coffee Shop and Pok Pok LA so when I came across pandan drink powder at LAX-C market I bought it thinking I’d like it.
However, it tasted weird as a hot drink, kinda like stale pink popcorn.
I don’t want to throw the whole box out. I suppose I could water it down and also turn it into jello. Any suggestions?

Pandan lovers, anyone have a source for fresh pandan leaves? Most places seem to only list frozen leaves. Or is it out of season and I am out of luck?
hawaii supermarket usually has em.
But I find the aroma is not as good as the frozen, probably because they are grown here?

Hmmm I’m looking to make a pandan syrup, so maybe frozen is a good choice if fresh is not clearly better. Thanks for the intel!

I noticed that Ban Ban Burgers at Tuk Tuk Thai has a Pandan shake on it’s menu. Just in case anyone is interested. Don’t do shakes but the Grapow and Laab burgers were delish.
