@robert what do you think about merging this thread with this one? Seems like we should have one comprehensive thread on bread in LA.

This one is eight years old. Is it still valid?
I think if we merge it with the other one, and keep the more generic name (“Los Angeles Bread”) it will be a more complete thread with an appropriate name for ongoing use.

Two Rose announced their last day of operation will be August 23. 
Chef Wilcox hinted that new ventures will follow, but hasn’t yet shared what those will be (other than that they will not be a brick and mortar).

Emily Wilson posted a (paywalled) interview with David Wilcox of Two Rose. Interestingly, she noted: “But while details are scant at the moment, it’s reassuring that the legacy of Two Rose will continue on under a new name, as two of Wilcox’s current baking partners have bought much of his equipment and plan to relaunch in a new location in coming months (more details on this as I have ‘em).”
As to what’s next for Wilcox, he did not get directly into it in the interview, but did suggest it would only be partially related to food.
