In the 1960s and 70s there was a premier Mexican restaurant in a high rise, maybe Century City area. Does anyone remember what it was or where ? Maybe it was Senior Picos but I remember riding in a elevator with a great view.
I don’t recall Senior Pico’s being in a high rise --I think it was street level and free standing. I do remember a Mexican restaurant I think in Santa Monica that was in what passed for a high rise in the area in that it was several stories high, and you got a great view from the elevator.
I wasn’t around back then, but just wanted to say welcome.
There was a Mexican restaurant in what is now The Penthouse at the Huntley Hotel. Fantastic views (still). It was called Toppers.
Thanks all for your prompt replies. It was over 50 years ago and I was a kid. I remember going up to an elevator and I thought we were viewing downtown or west LA. I remember my mom and sometimes with my aunt and cousin we would go to the various department stores and lovely restaurants downtown and along the Wiltshire corridor and Miracle Mile before malls. I may have HATED dressing up but I do miss the adventures and etiquette.
