Worse than the K-town location?!
I actually didn’t know there was one in Gardena is the sign backwards there too?
Both are abysmal. In Gardena there are a handful of spots and you have to park diagonally sometimes jumping over the curb. At least back in the day in Koreantown you could walk down the street and get sesame oil which I am in need of right now.
Holy moly, that’s good to know.
Would you be getting this from the guy that presses his own? Because he moved locations a while back
Maybe? It was called Chong’s. They closed. I feel so dirty posting this Goop link for no reason.

That’s the one. It took me a bit to find the article mentioning their closure and where you can get their products now but here it is:
A buddy of mine got some sesame oil (and kimchi) from Yang Ga Neh mentioned in the article but pre-pandemic so I’m not positive if they still carry Chong’s stuff. The most recent yelp reviews mentioning sesame oil for Yang Ga Neh and Chung’s Food from the article appear to be from four years ago
Yup, Vermont is written backwards.
like what @js76wisco the parking is just as bad
I think only one person doesn’t like Sonagi. Not sure if that makes it polarizing. Even in the FTC thread there’s just one dissenter.
we covered Amour, Uka, and Liu’s on Eater LA (I wrote each of them). Uka is great but expensive. A special experience for sure. Liu’s is casual but fantastic. I still have to go to Amour in person but plan to very shortly.
Updated
you made me giggle lol I went to sonagi and it was good. It wasn’t bad for its price point. I need to go to Inaba to compare, but I feel like Inaba is top already since I’ve had their food outside of the omakase.
Yeah inaba is the first on my list
Warrior: The pizza at Olivia is okay, nothing special. Same for the food more generally. If this is a Michelin plate restaurant, then nearby Grá deserves a Michelin star because it is way better. Pretty plates though.
Peony: I think the food is decent but not impressive.
Doesn’t seem to have any “distinction.” Maybe they include it because it’s vegetarian with a lot of vegan dishes.
Elf is a new selection. Michelin is really stretching to be more inclusive.
Please summarize!
Barra Santos
Danbi
Grá
Leopardo
Mae Malai Thai House of Noodles
Stella
Hooray for Gra. That’s a good selection. Top ten pizza in LA I think.
Well, top 20 maybe. It’s a solid place.
