three stars congratulations
Seriously? Should have been four stars!
They hardly ever give 4 - I would say they’re in very very good company at three though.
If I recall correctly only like…5 places have 4’s?
I believe it’s only Le Bernardin, Eleven Madison Park, Jean-Georges, Yoshino - I’m sure Jean-Georges and EMP reviews are outdated
Good piece, but the comments section was a cesspit of misogyny.
Comment sections just seem to bring out the worst in people.
PSA: Reservation for 1 tomorrow is currently available on Tock for anyone looking to treat themselves last minute
huge improvement over my first visit. rice is no longer dry and hard, seasoning is more aggressive, and neta wasn’t cold.
wish there was more hikarimono though.

Who’s celebrating the birthday?
That shima Aji was spectacular. She cut two different areas of it and layered it on. So you had two leaner pieces than one fattier piece.
Also she was SHOCKED that @PorkyBelly wanted more pieces. Apparently, no one has ordered as many extra pieces as we have. Server had to come and write it all down
Challenge accepted. Will reserve a spot soon…
You also have to bang bang afterwards!
¡Por supuesto!
only outside on friday nights but i think the last one was last night.
Pretty great omakase in this price range. Yes, the shima aji was good, but I’d also like to call out the ankimo, tairagai, and crab ankake. The crab ankake was especially good and my favorite of the menu. The house wagashi were also really neat. We are spoiled for sushi range and quality in Los Angeles.
