Muse - "Santa Monica" (but really LA)

It’s definitely expensive, but I think it’s worth the price, or at least it compares fairly or even favorably to the competition. I’ve spent similar amounts at Muse, Citrin and République (just to throw out some comps), and I am most inclined to spend that same amount again at Muse. I fully agree with @Probangbanger that it deserves a star.

Most certainly. The food at Muse shines. It’s high execution without the pretense. Go.

For me similar caliber restaurants will be citrin, pasjoli, republique, petit trois, and camphor (bit more higher end), I think they all have unique charm but what makes muse unique was way they run the service. Experience becomes very warm welcoming when chef come to you and have conversation and serve you for whole menu lol. I’m not sure he does it for “every table” but at least when I was there he always was at different tables for certain items and mingle with guests.

Food’s flavor is punchy like chef Skenes but much more casual and well thought out. I really like it
