Just finished up at Neptune and waiting for my pie at Regina.
The oysters were very good and much to my surprise I enjoyed the east coast more than the west coast. Unfortunately the cioppino left a bit to be desired. The broth was delicious and the two pieces of fish were cooked very well. However, the mussels and clams still had quite a bit of grit and the shrimp was absolutely hammered and not deveined.
Didn’t see a Napoletana on the Regina’s menu so I went with “their finest creation” The Giambotta. It was piled with toppings and was a bit too busy for my liking but I still finished the whole thing. Next time I’ll probably just get pepperoni or a white pie. I do want to return.
Modern Pastry wasn’t too far so decided to dip in for something sweet to end the night. I got some peanut butter crunchy roll thing that was amazing.
