Noma LA 2026

I would rather buy a bottle of Bordeaux for $1,500 although $1,500 doesn’t get you as far as it used to in Bordeaux.

The opening of their pop-up shop is going ahead, starting Thursday. Amid Controversy, Noma Opens a Retail Store in Silver Lake | Eater LA Article does a great job of capturing the current state of things IMO.

This quote was new to me about their permitting situation and the conditions they’re operating the restaurant popup under. I imagine it is what prompted rumors of a last minute venue switch, but it ended up still being held at the Paramour.

Gaddi adds that food for the residency is prepared at a food truck that has been permitted through Los Angeles County Department of Public Health, and there is no commercial kitchen on-site.

Some of the photos show the pricing. For example, $92 for a set of two jars of sweet spreads (12 oz total) and two chocolate bars.

Judging from their online prices, I’d guess you’re paying normal prices at the store without needing to pay shipping (which is free for order over $100).

If anyone is inclined to buy, I was given an assortment as a gift. Rose vinegar is a good product IMO, and my favorite of what we got. Corn yuzu hot sauce… was not hot  Get the extra hot version if they have it. Decent yuzu flavor, but corn didn’t come through super strong. Mushroom garum and dashi rdx were good, but not sure it’s worth the premium over fermented sauces from other cultures.
