Fixed. Thanks!
Posted L&S pigs head meal on L&S thread. Upshot is, delicious, but for those of us with an older model digestive system, can be challenging after the deliciousness fades. Mucho fat.
Fat? Overrated.
By chance do you know how much this cost? Appears as if this is the finished product…
Also, anyone else in LA doing a “take and bake” porchetta?
I saw a take and bake at the Bristol Farms at Wilshire/Berkeley in SM.
Can’t speak to the quality.
If you set something up with A Cut Above they will do whatever you like . . . for a price.
Alas, I do not.
Anyone eat at this place:
Porchetta Republic
Looks like maybe they used to be at Smorgasburg.

Cool! They have a polpette sandwich!!
Yes! Although I will forever be spoiled by Evan Funke’s Porchetta Truck… it’s very good. So is the Polpette sandwich! The only things are… that the porchetta isn’t highly herbal… you do some crispy bits, but not a ton. And the bread could be better…
Parking in the area shouldn’t be too hard at the moment… but in the past, we just walked over from the 7th and Fig complex which has validated parking (you always need something from Target)
If you love a good Polpette sandwich, my current favorite is from Truffle Bros on Washington. Really amazing meatballs, sauce and fresh baked bread.
I do love a good meatball sand. Still need to try the one at Little Coyote that a few here have said is so good.
Truffle Bros. OK!!! Thank you!
It’s close by surfas as well i usually try and hit up both of I’m out that way
I notice they have porchetta on the menu. Have you tried it?
Never been. Do You go there to eat at the “cafe” or to get supplies and ingredients?
Haven’t eaten at the cafe since they moved I they used to have good biscuits though. Usually I get ingredients. They have a great selection of flours & grains including Anson Mills. Chocolates, all sorts of goodies really. I like the small size sheet pans as well…
It’s that cold cut porchetta like they have at Eatly… not the roasted kind like the ones at Porchetta Republic. All their sandwiches are good though… it’s that bread they make. YOM!
As for Surfas… I buy both my ingredients (Bianco Tomatoes, Olive Oil, White Lily Regular and Bread Flour – which makes the BEST Shokupan). Also Truffle Bros is right across the street from The Market by Superior which has my favorite Heat and Eat Chile Rellenos
yeah, I see a BANG x3 in my future!!
Thank you!
