Restaurants with live music?

I’ve only been here once but I had a great time with my wife. Good food, good drinks, and a beautiful room. http://www.vibratogrilljazz.com/

Vibrato is fun, but super expensive with lousy food. Only go if there’s an act you really want to see.

This may be a tall order.

A friend is looking for a place for his wife’s birthday dinner. Being on a food board, I’m his go-to for restaurant recs—and you’re my go-to.

Anywhere in L.A., Hollywood, beach neighborhoods, etc. They’re into soul and jazz and have been to the usuals (Vibrato, Catalina, et al.). Thought about Six Seven Five Lounge (Inglewood) and Zaya (DTLA). And this is a bit off-topic, but live music isn’t a must—just a place with a great vibe and standout music.

Good food is important.

Thanks!

Update: Because you’ve been waiting with bated breath. They’re going to LouLou in SM. Haven’t heard of it. I feel like live music + great food in L.A. isn’t a thing. It’s either or.

Verse would have been my choice. The Georgian Room as well.

Thanks @beam. He said he’s “not locked in” with LouLou and still open to suggestions.
