Unless I’ve missed something, I haven’t seen any updated threads on great yakitori - so I thought I’d ask for recommendations. This is for my birthday with my SO - he’s not a big fan of yakitori, so he indulges me on my birthday - also, I love duck, so any place that has duck in some form would be a bonus. And I’m not interested in beef or Wagyu. Here’s some of the places I’ve come up with, but would be definitely open to other recommendations -
Torigoya - supposed to be top notch, but doesn’t seem to have duck or take reservations.
Shin Sen Gumi - various locations, does have duck - is Gardena the best of the locations for yakitori, or is the West LA location just as good?
Bengara - has duck on a different grill than the yakitori, but that would work as well.
Gokigen Tori - unsure whether it’s as good as the foregoing places.
