Inglewood
No kidding? I haven’t been in a while but if Sergio is there….sounds like time.
I wonder whatever happened to westsidegirl. All those people, all those lives, where are they now?
Da Vien now open on Artesia Blvd across from Tokyo Central
Bacio di Latte open now at Del Amo across from DTF
How was the line?
Pretty long today but today is a holiday sooo
I can’t be alone here bothered by banchan waste. WTH. I seen this all the time too when I was going to a new Ktown hole in the wall every week.
Shin sen gumi yakitori
Monday night they were out of a lot of skewers but still enjoyed myself with a pitcher of Sapporo.
Proudly serving, serving up the tastiest burger and fries in the South Bay, suprisingly or unsurprisingly they make really good chili/chili cheese fries too!
I don’t know who he is but he has restaurant here in Torrance that just opened called Onki (kinda of cursed spot across from the mall)
Is this a big deal? @matthewkang
Rys poke
I’ve had the one on Oahu bookmarked for awhile but never got the chance they soft opened in lomita today so we got the lao style (fish sauce and garlic chips) and limu traditional.
Both were tasty will be back to try more soon
Exciting! Been eyeing that place and hoping its good.
Seeing signs at peninsula center seems like Canaan is opening imminently hopefully they will have an extended menu offering compared to Lomita location
Went to Ryu’s. Not open yet
Ended up going to King Poke. Huge wait. Haven’t been here in a while. Haven’t eaten yet, but looks as good as always.
Can’t wait!
They are in soft open mode so you gotta follow on insta to see what days they are open
Ha, yeah, the owner basically told me the same. There was another Asian couple that showed up at the same time. The husband was very disappointed, lol.
How would you rank them amongst Jus Poke and Ali’i
I’ve never gotten super good poke at alili.
I would say so far it’s 1. Jus poke, 2. Rys and 3. Alili
but I will be going to Rys often to compare once they are open.
I heard poke and more is really good they just opened in Lomita too, I think their original is in Carson. Anyone been?
Daily Drop, Burmese. Torrance. Opened about a month ago. A tiny restaurant, a total of four seats, serving family-cooked meals. Love the hospitality. A lot of dishes lean towards Indian influence. Tea salad, while a slight variation from what I was used to, was very good. The Aloo Beef Keema curry has a good, spicy snap. The Burmese milk tea was a delightful surprise. Tasted like elevated HK Milk Tea, hand-pulled, with cardamom. I would stop by and just get the tea if I were in the neighborhood.
