Wadatsumi. The curry rice is so good! Beef bowl is still the move but I was craving Japanese curry and I had a friend who wanted to try the beef bowl

This place inside of Mitsuwa has some really good onigiri and bentos.
The Kinokuniya is so small. I remember back in the day at the old location it was so big. Still got some great merchandise. They got some Berserk early volumes 1-5 that can be hard to find at times because everyone buys volume 1. Also some Vagabond too. GOAT manga’s! Wish Vagabond will start up again.

Sweet and sour pork. Not battered. Mild in both sweet and sour.
A stir fry of beef liver, sprouts, carrots, green onions. Delicious with some spice.
Gyoza. Super light skin in comparison to Northern Chinese.

Ojiya is pretty good. The decor is pretty ragtag but the cooking is solid. Not better than Hachi or Otafuku but fine for that part of Torrance.

First time trying fukugawa this just jumped to the top of my South Bay Japanese list with Otafuku.
So simple yet so delicious will definitely be back.

Okay so they make their own housemade coconut cream……
Most Thai restaurants are using canned
But I just confirmed they are using their own coconut cream for the Tom Kha which also includes young coconut meat!
I need to try this asap

Also I was planning on going to Fukugawa from being @hungryhungryhippos ’fluenced but I saw this place lol next time I wish they kept breakfast hours!
