I use this for sweet breakfast milk, steeped with ginger. Rolled/flipped omelette. Cruller in the toaster oven. Best brekkie

Goodboybob has some great coffee if you guys are ever in the Manhattan pier area.
This visit I tried the chai latte with house almond milk. This is very spice forward if that is your thing in contrast to Hopper and Burr’s chai latte on the sweet side . I believe they ground their own spice. Still need to try Masalawali for the real deal chai. Not a bad option since it’s close to the Kettle and Bill’s

Amazing!
Went to Fukugawa for breakfast today…I’m pretty sure it was sold to new ownership.
The servers are all new. Our regular rotation of older Japanese ladies were all gone.
It took significantly longer for our regular breakfasts to arrive, and when one arrived…it took about another 10 minutes for the rest of the table’s meals to arrive without an apology or explanation for delay.
Worth noting that while the food was no longer piping hot when delivered, it did taste the same as is pricing.
They did comp us our drinks (iced green tea) when we went to pay the bill, but we also noticed that the kitchen was a clusterfuck with trays and dishes all over.

they had just added some dishes too, like karaage which are absolutely delicious.
I don’t remember seeing him there yesterday.
oof, i really hope there hasn’t been a full changeover… so rarely do those work out and it’s one of our favorite light meals in the area.
King Mediterrano veggie bowl. Still gives the biggest portions. Don’t sleep on the garlic sauce. The fries are always so consistently crispy and seasoned. They have zucchini sticks now!

Not to give false hope, but the guy I am talking about mentioned a while back that the “new owner now has the cheapest draft in town.” Which they do and it’s icy cold. So, I believe we’ve been there since the ownership changeover and if my timing/memory is correct, then this changeover happened a while back. In which case, Fukugawa is still great!

I’m willing to go back and give them more shots. I do love Fukagawa. I’m hoping they can get things under control.
I’m used to being in and out in under an hour. I think we were there last week for about 50 minutes before anything was brought out, and it wasn’t even a full house.
