Do you like Al-Noor and Al-Watan?

If yall don’t know Zam Zam is just Zam Zam in name not the original owners

The sticky rice with mango and coconut ice cream was amazingly at the Wat Temple!!

Haven’t been to Al noor or Al watan since pre Covid and much further back than that actually but I loved both.

That sucks to hear about Zam zam is the biryani still good? Had it about a year ago and it wasn’t bad

Kitakata ramen. I had the vegan ramen it was very good deep rich miso broth. Perfect for a cold day

We love Kitikata… I’ve never loved the gut-bomb fat-laden ramen that seems to be the trend. This broth is much more delicate and lighter. And I’m a fan of the noodles. If you haven’t tried it, the green chili shio is excellent!

Any reports on the newest yakitori place in Lomita: Yakitori Nishi? I’ve heard the other new one in Redondo Beach, Zoku, is fantastic.

Oh yeah forgot about 1 and 5.

I’m in the same plaza as Hasu a few times a month but never wandered in. I always figured if I am going to a izakaya Otafuku is the best in the South Bay area.

Kurisaki recommended by a local Japanese acquaintance who worked for a Japanese supermarket chain in marketing. Apparently kura-san worked at the original nobu for many years before branching out on his own.

It was extremely great. Maybe not top tier in city but just slightly below but also much more affordable. Been eyeing for awhile but didn’t want to pull the trigger because yelp and google reviews are highly unreliable for sushi. We had mostly hikarimono high quality and almost all were sourced from Japan. Not pictured we also had iwashi, saba, aji, ika, and some maki. Great bite to rice, they are not using red vinegar but it was well balanced. You could probably do a ooe for about 120 dollars ish.

I think we found our local go to sushiya! Still need to try Chitose tho
