It aint large and it aint cheap.
Oh yeah! I forgot you forgot.

Yes. I did it with tomato paste too.
chi spacca
I’m coining this the ABC - Anchovy, Butter, Crostini
Richer than a mainland USC grad with an allowance. Delicious.
gjelina
anchovy & burrata toast, pepperonata, capers, sherry
Like a delicious mini anchovy pizza. Gjlorious.
Hi @PorkyBelly,
I don’t think there’s enough Butter on that Chi Spacca toast.
I read something that hummus is going to replace avocado on toast. Not for me
Osteria Mozza
mozzarella di bufala, anchovies, garlic toast
Now sourcing pujadó solano anchovies from spain. @TheCookie
Anybody know where I can buy this in la?
Recently tried the anchovy butter toast at Chi Spacca. It was really good. Could subsist on only that.
I would start with La Española and/or Epicurus Gourmet
Gaaah!
Epicurus doesn’t carry them.
anybody try the sardines and tomatoes at gamboge? @JeetKuneBao
I tried the grilled lemongrass beef numpang, it was fine.
i noticed mozza is selling their anchovies to-go now, it just says they’re cantabrian anchovies and doesn’t give a brand, but i’m pretty sure they’re the pujado solano anchovies they use for their mozzarella, garlic toast, and anchovy dish. another option if you don’t have time to drive down to la espanola meats @TheCookie, @NYCtoLA
Only 14 months later…
Bay Cities or direct from La Espanola. Bay cities is a bit cheaper.
These are my very favorite anchovies but they are susceptible to spoilage and need to be kept cool. The wine cellar seems to work well.
awesome thanks.
Heads up, La Espanola has a deep discount on Pujado Anchovy Fillets near expiration. I placed an order after reading this thread and was happy to find this score!
