Not only do I find Tokyo over-run by tourists, I also find the food outside to be better. As someone mentioned, Nihonryouri Fuji is one of my favorite restaurants and he is as good as anyone else at the moment. There are quite a few other restaurants at the same caliber and I find the food better since the quality of the ingredients are better. It takes time to transport fish and vegetables to Tokyo and even if it is just a few hours, the level of freshness will not be the same
