Is there any place in the East Bay (or offering delivery to the East Bay) where one might acquire a truly astonishing cake or pie this upcoming Friday? (Ordered in advance, ideally.)
Fournée is great but their large-format selection is quite limited and not quite what I’m looking for. Rotha doesn’t look like it does any sort of custom order or whole cakes/pies to begin with (though I haven’t called them to ask).
I really miss having Nicole Rucker in town.

Perhaps La Farine ? We had a bouche de noel last year which was excellent and they have different on display. Perhaps contact them and ask if they do any custom cakes
I’ve just discovered Bench, which apparently does custom cakes to order - the non-decorated ones look pretty good.
I tried looking at La Farine but their website seems to be down. Still, might be a reasonable option, thanks!
