4-day Tokyo itinerary that will eventually maybe turn into a trip report

Howdy all, tell me if I’m making a massive mistake with any of these restaurants. For some context, I’m spending 7 nights in Hokkaido, where I’m doing two omakases, including one at Sushi Sohei in Sapporo. Also doing a kaiseki meal at Suyama in Sapporo. I’ll likely report pretty extensively on the Otaru/Sapporo leg of my trip, but seems like there haven’t been quite enough visitors to Sapporo to pin down any must eat spots.

In Tokyo, I meant to book Kurosaki for sushi, though while I was waiting for the counter to open up, the private rooms got booked as well. Woof. Another question I have is this: any of y’all stayed at the Mandarin Oriental? It’s only 650 a night for the second leg of my Tokyo journey. Is that a must stay?

night 1 dinner: Butagumi.
day 2 lunch: Tempura Miyashiro for lunch
night 2 dinner: TBD, suggestions?
day 3 lunch: TBD, arriving at Haneda at noon or so, hotel in Ebisu
day 3 dinner: Yakitori Takahashi
day 4 lunch: TBD
day 4 dinner: Ukiyo. Has anybody been here? This is my wildcard resy of the trip.
day 5: Haneda airport, what’s the best spot to eat?

Kurosaki has openings that may be made available in a later release.

You can also try Nakano, run by one of Kurosaki’s chefs and was until recently actually at their original Shibuya location (dinner looks pretty open). They moved at the end of the year.

There’s a decent unagi spot - Yondaime. It’s Kansai-style eel, and they speak some English, too. There’s also Rokurinsha for tsukemen, but I find tsukemen a little heavy and it’s not my personal choice for a pre-flight meal.

Alternatively, depending what time your flight is, you can drop off your luggage at the terminal in the morning, then take a train back into the city for a bit. I do this with no problem - just separate airtags in each bag eases my mind, but luggage at Haneda is safe.

Looking into Nakano now, thanks. Also, Yondaime will be perfect and check the unagi box. Haven’t actually done an unagi specialist in Japan yet!
