I unfortunately think this was completely pre sold- anyone any luck?
Struck out myself.
For those lucky ones who got in, enjoy!
Unfortunately I can’t make this Next redux (Brandon Go and Alain Giraud beckon)…
when are you going to Giraud?
We are on the 12th
Reservations are open.
Thank you! Those went fast–managed to grab 8/15.
Reservations got released before their newsletter email was sent and before their IG post. I booked mine around 9:50 am. Tickets for 2 appear to be gone and only tickets for 4 left.
What time did you book? I booked 5 pm for 8/15.
2 tops are gone but there are plenty of reservations left for groups of 4
Curious how it is. I went to the popup in Brooklyn, and I didn’t even pay and I absolutely hated it. But I’m also on the record for disliking Alinea on its home turf. 2 of my least favorite meals of all time.
Honestly, I’ll be shocked if anyone on this board likes it.
Another non-fan of Alinea here. Went many years ago and while we had enough to eat, technically speaking, we were still hungry on an emotional/psychological level, if that makes sense. I can no longer remember much about the food, but it seemed that the menu was literally 40% sweet items and we are not sweet-eaters. The final dessert was a literal mess–a waterproof placemat splashed with sauces and ice creams for us to fingerpaint in, quite appalling.
Now I’m kinda nervous with my booking. I guess I can always sell it if the reviews are not good since my booking is on the second to the last day of their LA tour.
ruth liked it fwiw. spoiler alert.
I almost threw up at the hot dog/bagel course. And the forced theatrics of going into the back yard at Olmsted with a group of the worst people I’ve ever dined near was awful.
And I used to love Olmsted - I lived next door when it first opened!
