Yes this was one of the things he’s working on that pple here will be happy about
Just take my money already…
Couple questions for those in the know. Do you know if the pop-up at PRD is this weekend? Are the picnic tables still available for sitting or has everyone been getting PRD to-go? Okay, a 3rd question… Does anyone know what’s on the An Com Pop-up menu? I’m trying to figure out how vegetarian-friendly it will be… asking for a son.
No news, yet. Just an announcement for now.
Gotcha’. That probably makes this excursion less complicated anyway. I just thought son’s g-friend (Fountain Valley transplant) would appreciate some good Vietnamese food in her new neck-of-the-woods. But A said this excursion was starting to get too ambitious with PRD hosting a new pop-up and the stop at Now Serving. He can only take so much seeking.
Well traditionally Vietnamese homestyle meals include some type of protein, a vegetable dish, and a soup (which could be vegetarian).
Have you took your son to a Vietnamese vegetarian restaurant before
Thanks @JeetKuneBao. I haven’t but his girl has. She’s promised to take me on a LS food crawl when things get back to normal. Excited!
When I went to PRD a few weeks back I only saw 1 of the big tables outside Howlin Rays and no chairs. Use the 10 minutes free pick up parking spots as PRD does not validate.
Great, thanks!
Is au lac in dtla still open? Only been to one in oc but think they buddhist style vegetarian
There’s a table against a half wall outside of Amboy that they can eat at.
what impressed me about the eggplant was the smokiness from the wood grill, it perfectly complemented the umami-ness of the dish but didn’t overpower.
Chef talks about how he prepares it on KCRW’s Good Food’s latest episode. It’s more towards the end on the Market Watch section.
omg. salted egg yolk banh cam?!!
