Angelini Osteria

Warrior: Angelini Osteria was hitting on all cylinders tonight. We ordered ten dishes tonight, and they were all delicious with no significant flaws. My favorites were the uni linguine (my favorite dish here; so oceany), the ribeye (outstanding flavor); the softshell crab (really crispy on the outside, yet really meaty on the inside), the trofie (love the savory tomato sauce), and the tiramisu (just perfect). I’ve always been an Osteria Mozza guy, but Angelini Osteria just might be the best Italian restaurant in LA.

Peony: I had a wonderful meal tonight. The dishes tonight were executed well overall. The softshell crab was really tasty, and the crab was really fresh. The uni pasta was beautifully flavored and well-seasoned. The steak was the biggest surprise tonight. We ordered it medium, yet it was very soft. If a medium steak can be this soft, then I would consider ordering medium in the future, because medium rare is a little too bloody and gamey for me. Beautiful dishes and a wonderful evening.

Looks great. Any thoughts?

The city will have a war on its hands if it tries to get the sidewalks / parking spaces back from places like Angelini, which has five times as many tables as before.

Everything was good but I was seriously disappointed the tripe with cuttlefish was no longer on the menu and by 9:00 they had run out of the chicken livers. Juding from the size of the noodles, they must have a bass chitarra. Some good values in lesser-known Italian wines on the bottle list.
