AOC on point for Easter Sunday brunch

AOC is known for their excellent wine-focused
menu, but is also a great place for brunch. I’ve been enjoying brunch here on a few visits and each time has been great, in fact probably my favorite in LA right now. Especially if you can snag a table in their interior patio, which has great ambience and a lovely space to enjoy a luxurious brunch. Easter Sunday at AOC did not disappoint this weekend!

It was really difficult to decide what to order from the brunch menu, because almost everything sounded delicious. The tantalizing scent from their wood-burning oven only made us more hungry!

Our party of three started with the sticky buns, then spring salad, and for our entrées I had the Dungeness crab omelette, and another guest had the Spanish fried chicken and waffles.

Sticky bun with Munak walnuts. This was decadent, caramel and buttery flavors with great crunch from flavorful walnuts.

Spring greens, broccoli kibbeh, avocado, cherry tomatoes, favas & feta. AOC does great vegetables and I loved this salad. It tasted like spring on a plate. I could eat a large bowl of this everyday :grinning:

Spanish fried chicken & cornmeal waffle, jamón serrano, chile-cumin butter & maple syrup. AOC’s Spanish fried chicken is a classic, made even more decadent with a crispy cornmeal waffle and savory slices of jamón.

Dungeness crab omelette, watercress, basil pistou, burrata & crème fraiche . Perfectly cooked omelette with a tuft of fresh Dungeness crab inside. Went so well with the crème fraiche and basil flavors. The watercress salad was also fantastic, studded with blood orange and kumquat. Served with a delicious slice of their bread from the wood burning oven. This dish also tasted like spring on a plate.

Not pictured were the quickly-devoured bacon wrapped dates (another AOC classic) and a wonderful bottle of Sorgente Prosecco, which was the perfect crisp foil to the plates we ordered.

Bravo AOC!
