I also think bánh khọt lady deserves its own thread too. I have feeling they are going to next main stream media darlings in next year or so.

We all love specialists and the shokunin spirit, so as far as I can tell, they are the best at their craft now in in their niche, bánh khọt, in all of LA/OC.
They look good, the first time I had banh khot was from a small vendor in hoi on so crispy and delicious.
I think the served it only with some fish sauce and some pickled daikon/carrots.
Is it standard to be served like egg rolls with all the greens?
They are pretty damn spectacular.

you can order when you show up, might take 20-30 minutes to get your order though if they’re busy.
Yeah I think they’re cooking to order. I waited like ten minutes weekday lunch.
They put fried onions and scallions into their nước chấm. Definitely extra effort.
Their shrimp egg rolls are great too as they put one whole shrimp in each instead of mincing it up
Yeah, might be best in town. Have not seen/tasted any better. If you have any leads leave them here but what BKL doing feels on a whole nother level.
For the wheat style shrimp and pork egg roll, yeah, BKL is hard to beat.
For rice paper egg rolls and nem cua bể, we are really digging sau quầy
What happened to it? It actually reheats really well… unless someone stole it. Lol
