Bars, Pubs, Taverns, Wine Bars, Bottle Shops, etc. in Toronto

Michael Collins Pub was too crowded and noisy for my liking.tonight. The crowd was mostly 20somethings on a Saturday night. My friend and I are 50somethings. I don’t think we are the demographic the Michael Collins Pub is after.

We headed west to Burdock, which is a brew pub with a good kitchen. There were a couple free tables, and we were around the median age inside.

I ordered the schnitzel platter and my friend ordered the fries with aioli. Exceptionally good fries.

The schnitzel wasn’t pounded thin the way it would be at a German, Austrian, or Polish resto. It was perfectly breaded and fried.

I’ll be back to try other mains. I had been to Burdock for live music a few times. I’ll be back to eat sometime soon.

My friend tried the Classic beer and the Gose.

I had a couple glasses of red.
