Best Pizza by the Slice?

I’m lucky that I went to school where French bread pizza supposedly originated - Bob’s Hot Truck. I will neither confirm nor deny that at some points during my college career I ate there every night, sometimes twice in one night.

There’s a recipe for french bread pizza in a 1954 issue of Sunset, so Bob wasn’t the first to come up with the idea.

Yes! The Stouffers Outlet!

My folks shopped there too and our mainstays were the French Bread pizzas (teens in the house), the spinach souffle and - Lean Cuisine. They had a LC fish covered in white sauce with potatoes that was actually excellent. And that’s from a teenaged palate! My folks also got the zucchini lasagna.

Looks like it’s still there…

Solon!! Yes!!

I hate to date myself, but they didn’t have Lean Cuisine when we went there… it hadn’t been invented yet LOL.

Oh, I’m sure it had been invented - you just didn’t need it… : )

What a fun shared memory!

And I was a Shaker Heights gal.

But you look so young!

Funny that it wasn’t invented till 1981, those little boxes are such a part of my memory.

Well, if anyone want to try their pizza, Milo SRO is opening today at 4pm.
