Gracie’s is definitely a snack stop for me when I go to scoops or am in the neighborhood.

just got back from Pizza wagon…2 reheated slices…one at a time, of course, were perfect! I told Anthony & Marina it was like having been sucked into a time warp to a day when I was growing up in the Bronx where it seemed like there were a half dozen excellent pizzerias within a few blocks of where I lived in any direction…crisp and chewy and no cracking! hot, little char on the bottom…regular slice was Brooklyn or the Bronx, oozing borough essence! and the pesto slice, not overwhelming garlic…perfect creamy rigut(ricotta) the crust was perfect…I have to find a way to get by there more often! Thanks Anthony & Marina!

Yep, Anthony’s father opened in 1966…his brother took over and Anthony relocated here and finally opened after a long inspection process…its great!..it takes all my will power not to keep going to Sherman Oaks!

Aw darn. Yah I know that was frustrating when we first found out. When we asked the staff, they said it’s because (surprisingly) during the day on Sat / Sun, it’s totally dead. He said they tried opening for a few weekends early on, but there were no customers (nor much foot traffic). Hope you get a chance to try Superfine soon!

Damn, Pizza Wagon, you’re killing me!!
First time having the pesto. So good! Not overly garlicky the creamy ricotta was perfect. Crust… never had a bad slice. This might be my new favorite, and I’m not really a fan of pesto anything.
@lapizzamaven , they are as friendly as can be, Anthony and Marina. They were buried. I went in because Grubhub said they were closed until 7:15. Turns out Anthony had to “shut it down” because they were so swamped!

Yeah they’re doing a soft opening to people who entered a Facebook contest. they been training all week so maybe within a week, they still haven’t announced a firm date.

Has anyone tried Luzzo’s - BK on Tujunga in Studio City? Guess they are an offshoot of a place in Brooklyn. They sell by the slice, though their large pies look like they are 16”

I just drove by about an hour and a half ago, and I swear they looked open. All their TVs were on, there were servers in there and there was a guy standing behind the bar. it was too dark to see if there were customers.
I’m not as excited about the “pizza” as I am about the prospect of possibly getting a decent Italian beef.
