Hello, all. My family has decided to forgo turkey this year and serve lobster as our main this Thanksgiving (which will actually take place the Friday following the holiday). They will most likely be grilled by my brother-in-law. Where do y’all go to get live lobsters in town? Last time I endeavored to do so, I went to the 99 Ranch Market on Pioneer. The only ones they had were enormous! Looking more around the 1.5 pound range. Thanks in advance.
Gelsons often times have them on sale for $9.99/lb during season.

last time I went here, it seemed like some restaurateur bought the whole tank because there was simply a “SOLD” sticker slapped to the tank

oh, I see you said 1.5/lb range, so american style vs chinese style. I’ve seen them @ Fish King in Glendale in the tank.

The spiny lobster at Pearson’s Port in Newport Beach are fantastic. I would call for availability.

Pacific Fresh Fish downtown always has them. you can call to check on the price before heading down there.

Thread revival! Gelson’s lobsters ain’t $9.99 per lb in 2020, but at $14.99 per lb they’re still priced much better than other gourmet markets, Monsieur Marcel & Bristol Farms.
