One of the tastiest meals I’ve ever had in Argentina. As is most of the Mendoza province, reservations only. This is an outdoor lunch with a wine paring - the quesadilla (starter) and the bondiola (pork shoulder) was excellent. I saw one of the steaks and as good as it looked, I was not sorry to have ordered the bondiola, Their wines were very good. The owner of the bodega got the chef to come back from NYC.
It was a classic case of farm fresh food with not overly fussy preparations, which one doesn’t find very much in Buenos Aires.
Get a driver. You shouldn’t drive anywhere after this lunch (plus the other stops you’ll likely make).
Lunch for 2 with pretty much all the wine we wanted was just about US$100 out the door. Great service, too.
