Does anyone have a go to brand of ice cream? I’m looking for something with basically zero additives like milk, sugar, and vanilla etc. Same with frozen yogurt.
Something of high quality and if they are local to LA that would be preferred.
TIA

I like Straus. Their Dutch Chocolate is our favorite supermarket ice cream. The Vanilla is very good but we are chocoholics.
No preservatives or additives. Ingredients for vanilla.
Pasteurized Organic Cream and Organic Nonfat Milk, Organic Cane Sugar, Organic Egg Yolks, Organic Vanilla Extract, Organic Ground Vanilla Bean.
I’m sure there are better local options, but in a pinch, Haagen Dazs, surprisingly, has zero additives, like 5 ingredients, and is something of a sense memory.
McConnel’s maybe?
Tillamook is our favorite supermarket ice cream. Don’t know about their additives. So far, I’ve not been impressed by any of the premium brands and I think I’ve tried most of them over the years.
bulgarini?
Try McConnell’s? They have a dairy free line that includes vanilla bean among other flavors. They are local to LA with three locations (Santa Monica, PVP, studio city and grand market). Not sure if all locations opens, but their website still lists all of those locations. They sell to big brand stores like Ralph’s, Whole Foods, Vons, Albertsons etc.
It is a hit or miss when you go to the grocery store searching for a specific flavor sometimes.
I’ll check out straus and McConnells! Thanks!
McConnell’s regular vanilla has only ingredients you might find in any kitchen but the non-dairy stuff has guar gum, dextrose, and fructose.
