Brunch here was really good.

Temporarily closed for re-concepting. I really hope it’s because he’s done well on the upcoming America’s Culinary Cup reality show and is getting ready leverage that.

Yes, I hope that is the case. My friend tried to make a reservation for us last weekend and they were closed, but told her they are accepting reservations for the end of March-ish. I made one for April 5th. We’ll see if it stands. :raising_hands:

W: I enjoyed it! Better than the old Alta, a little better than “good neighborhood restaurant.” Reminiscent of Dunsmoor.

P: good neighborhood restaurant. The food was enjoyable.

Also I’m happy I will continue to see the Mexico shirts around. It has been heartwarming.

We went again and had similar thoughts. Peony upped it to a little better than neighborhood restaurant.

how do you find it compares to the previous edition?

Way improved, night and day. The previous edition was simple and comforting. The new edition is closer to a restaurant like Dunsmoor or Bavel than it is to the old edition. I wouldn’t put it at that level yet, but it’s in the same ballpark. Not just the food, but also the service and operational logistics, are far better than before. The only disappointment is the wine list, which is really basic despite the wine store next door. Hopefully they have plans to beef that up.

Also – the place was humming when we walked in at 9 p.m. last night. It’s doing well!
