Despite his growing empire, Citrin’s Charcoal Venice is really solid. And has been for a long time. I have been disappointed by the Dears (though Jane was much worse than John). Haven’t been to Citirin or Melisse for ages.

Agree Charcoal hits the spot every time. Nothing fancy just good product prepared properly. Augies on Main is also a real solid fast casual lunch or dinner spot. The sandwiches are great and the dirty chicken is as good as you remember.

Apparently has closed. Surprising. Food was very good but they never did any promotion of this location.
Food was quite good.
But I was there last month and it looked dead on a random wednesday night.

Unfortunate. I was there just before new year’s and thought the food was on par with the original, but yeah, it was quite dead (not totally empty, but I think under 50% capacity).
