Cheesesteaks by Matū Opens Today in Pasadena!

We’re happy to announce that Cheesesteaks by Matū officially opens today Wednesday, January 14th, joining our friends HiHo Cheeseburger in a shared space in Pasadena’s Playhouse Village.

Born out of an overwhelming guest demand for the cheesesteak served at Matū and Matū Kai, Cheesesteaks by Matū is a casual cheesesteak spot that serves just one thing: the now-famous Matū Philly Cheesesteak made from First Light Farms 100% grass-fed Wagyu and house-made tallow potato chips.

Just went to get lunch for the office

From lineup to food in my hand was roughly a hour. I’d say 15 people or so in front of me.

One person taking orders. One - two people making the sandwiches. One person wrapping and putting chips.

Also people asking stupid questions like “what’s your signature item”. One person took over 5 minutes to decide their order.

Food was good. Could use more onions.
