What’s worse is that she was running a charitable service serving displaced restaurant workers out of Mozzaplex and Chi Spacca, and reportedly had a very hands on role in the food preparation, packaging, and distribution. The food and supplies were distributed to literally thousands, and she was (probably) highly contagious throughout that period. The results could be absolutely devastating.
They were practicing social distancing during the relief operation.
In those situations, the threat is mostly to the staff. Each worker receiving food and supplies interacted with the relief operation staff for a few seconds. The staff interacted with one person after another for three hours and with each other for longer than that.
Generally agreed, but there are a number of very clear cases of pre-symptomatic super-spreaders infecting hundreds, or in one case (in South Korea) thousands with only very incidental contact.
I’m so happy to read that her case is of the milder variety (so far). She’s such an LA treasure. So much talent and creativity and success, and so many rely on her.
