"classic chicken Caesar wrap"

In the 1990s, chicken Caesar wraps dominated lunchtime menus.

Was that true in LA? I’ve never heard of it before.

It wasn’t Cabbage patch kids popular but there were a lot of places with a spinach wrap, usually diced chicken and Caesar dressing, sometimes sprouts or avocado. Funny thing to be having a comeback, seems like the food equivalent of fast fashion. It was popular for a moment in time then gone. Not really even noteworthy at the time, can’t even think of a particular restaurant to associate the chicken caesar wrap with.

I used to order them from the California Chicken Cafe a lot.

Wolfgang Puck Express at USC had a version of it in a flatbread sandwich, too.

It’s wild to me that the wrap is so popular, again.

It’s like bell bottom pants and disco, it never dies. It just takes a recess before it comes back again.

I wonder if this will be the next casual food trend that goes national (like smash burgers, hot chicken, poke, etc,)
