Back from my weekend and didn’t want to bloat this thread.
Aurora a little south of Denver went to Annette at the Stanley Marketplace. Annette has a bunch of accolades like James Beard award and best new restaurant Food & Wine. Great meal. Excellent service. Not one miss with excellent desserts.
Chicken liver pate with strawberry jam. Lovely balance.
One of the best bites I’ve had all year. Hot crispy potato with caviar and onion cream. Crispy salty briny with the cream rounding it all out.
Nice pasta dish. Good heat from the peppers.
Excellent salad. Butter lettuce smothered in cheese with pickled shallots and great tarragon dressing.
Mussels in green curry with sweet potato straws. Nice heat in the curry.
Half chicken perfectly cooked with jus.
Tahini carrots with crunchy chick peas and yogurt sauce. I wanted this dish and everybody was like eh but everybody loved it. One of the best of the night.
Can’t really go wrong with steak frites. Well cooked and loved the skinny salty fries.
Seriously great desserts. Strawberry profiterole. Ice cream sandwich with mint ice cream. Pecan pie. Couldn’t decide which one we liked the best but there wasn’t one morsel left.
