I’m not sure why but it’s one of my favorite comfort foods lately. I could never get tired of ordering this dish. It is rich, sweet, salty, deeply flavored. They are open relatively late so it’s a great place for me to hit up on the way home from work after a late call.

This is from a few months ago but the beef tongue curry from Izakaya Gazen was one of the best things I’ve eaten this year. Weekend lunch special only.
