I’ve lived in the neighborhood for almost 5 years now but regretfull never went to Empero Taste on Balboa! Stellar canto food and huge portions and they give a complementary porky soup. Pea sprouts were expertly cooked al dente with canto crisp or california crisp depending on who you ask with fresh garlic flavor and proper seasoning. I can’t emphasize how much that fresh garlic flavor means to me…bagged peeled garlic has this off flavor that is remniscient of a dry cheese that you cut on a wet cutting board and put away wet and then opened it a week later and you’re not sure if its still good because there’s no mold but it smells weird.
Lobster noodle was top tier. Also expert cook on the lobster, lightly fried and meat was firm but not rubbery. Great seasoning in the sauce…delicious!
